Adia: Pregnancy Management System Concept

Status: Personal Project Completed in 2013

Adia is a pregnancy management system that leverages the power of advanced technologies to enhance the mother-child bond and to remove the health-related guesswork between hospital visits. Adia consists of a wireless doppler, a breathalyzer, a wireless scale and an app. The doppler's wireless design gives the mother freedom of movement and allows her to measure, listen to and record the baby's heart beat in intimate moments. However, unlike conventional heartbeat monitors the Adia doppler can also play a collection of curated songs and lullabies to put mother and baby at ease during their interactions.

The breathalyzer is a non-invasive health tracker that aims to give the mother peace of mind and encouragement as she makes personal choices throughout her pregnancy. it's equipped with sensors that can detect glucose biomarkers and volatile organic compounds in the mother's breath like smoke and house chemicals. And, finally, the scale allows the mother to track her weight and cross reference it with dietary and lifestyle choices.

The Adia system is complemented by a powerful app that serves as a reliable source of truth for the mothers. The app gathers the mother's health markers in one place, makes lifestyle suggestions and connects her to a powerful network of women and mothers ready to help when things get too stressful or confusing. The consolidated information can then be shared with approved healthcare professionals before her scheduled appointments.
